When uploading photos for Smart Forms, photo sizes are limited or compressed to a width of 1000px. This applies both to photos taken on the Camera or selected from the Gallery.
It is possible to configure photos to be compressed to a width smaller than 1000px using the Axsy Config Tool. Please see this article for more information: Image Settings
